Hi there. If you guys can indulge me.. My boyfriend is in the gaming business and has developed such an interest in my addiction to hay day (he is maybe a bit jealous I don't play their game hahahah) There are just questions I can't answer since i don't use real money to play the game.. His question was " if you will buy diamonds how would you spend them?" And do you guys really buy diamonds and/or coins hence the very elaborately decorated farms of most of you guys? Hi Bien, I can't really answer your questions properly, because I have never bought diamonds or coins. However, having accumulated quite a few diamonds by collecting them through toolboxes, the mine and viewing trailers, I can tell you how I do spend them now. I hired Tom for a day, so that I would be offered a discount for hiring him for three days or more. Now I occasionally hire him for three days to stock up on jam and shovels. I also used diamonds to speed up the last stage of the fishing area and the lobster pool, just because I was i patient. Sometimes I use 1 diamond for an extra spin on the wheel, but invariably I find it's not worth it. I also used diamonds to buy some of the Halloween decorations, because I really like them and because I felt there wasn't really anything else to do with the diamonds. I have never used them to speed up upgrading my barn or silo. I'd be interested to hear how other people use their diamonds.

Edit: forgot to say that the main way I have spent diamonds is to add extra slots to production machines.

For my penny's worth, I got offered a respectable discount on diamonds so have bought a pile of them (£20 for a chest of them which I bought 2+ months ago and only half way through so not a bad investment for the amount of time I spend on this game ).

I have used them to add extra slots to some production machines and apart from that I keep Tom on a permanent retainer - if feels like a bit of a cheat as I gather so many do without him but he is great for the mining stuff and slow things (jam, juices) and also when a diary/sugar boat or something comes in and he means I can keep a stock of the trickier things to help out friends as required. Now we have these event challenges he also helps there. I do regularly have 'a flutter' on the wheel of fortune but more out of habit than because of the level of reward, and have been known to use diamonds for that last barn or silo item I am desperate for. Never use them to speed up production (unless by accident) largely as I have Tom and rarely use them to buy decorations etc.
