I have one smelter that I shouldn't of bought until I unlocked the cave. I have people who are lower leveled then me with the cave unlocked and 3-5 smelters. Seriously?

There was a time when you could regularly find ore in the paper, so it made sense to have a smelter but not to have unlocked the mine. Sadly, it's not like that anymore. I think some players get so excited when they are at a level to unlock something new, or can afford to, and so they go for it. And perhaps later realise it wasn't such a good idea. It's all part of the fun, and frustration, of the game.
