When it comes into the dock, before you open a crate or ask for help with the sign, hit the boat button you would press to cast off once it was filled. Another boat will return in 4 hours.

Once you started, you can't stop... So first decide if you can fill it (3 crates from friends) and then start. Else just send it on his way.
UNLESS you are running for captain. But then pls tell us, we will all gladly help.

Because sugar and dairy products take a long time to make and are needed to make many different other products. Plus there are a lot of sugar and dairy boats. People do help but can't or won't help on each boat because they need the stuff themselves.

Ah ok I've never been able to help on a boat because I never have enough stuff (need to upgrade barn and silo) but at least I know. I just got a boat order with lots of corn crates to fill which was great!! Got a blue ticket and not a pink one though How hard are the pink ones to get?!
