Hay Day Discussion and Game Help Thread (NO FRIEND REQUESTS)

lol, OCD tendencies aren't fun to live with :-P I'm a nightmare to most people, lol.

Lol @ your decorating.. Honestly, I wanted a pretty farm and have majorly failed to achieve that, but since I'm obsessed with water and have a few fountains and of course the river, I'm ok with that :-)

And excuuuuuse me Mr. Why are you not on my friends list? lol :O

lol KJ! That's funny.. I'm still uncertain as to whether to open a new one or not, but I would feel like I was cheating, lol. I think I'll wait until I'm ready to delete his one first :D

I bet there's thousands of people out there with multiple farms just for extra sugar and dairy produce to transfer to their main farms, which I couldn't do because I think it's cheating, lol.. but I can see why people would do it I guess. I kinda like the challenge of managing stock.

I do it the other way round :) I use my big farm to help my little farm :) the 3 sugars it produces every hour don't make a dent in the big farms needs but the other way round is fun ....I like helping lower levels :) it makes the game fun again :)

Managing stock is frustrating and rewarding (when you can make it work). I'm glad to see you level 45+ players are still hanging out and helping us newbies. I plan on returning that gift one day.

It is a lovely feeling to pay it forward.. I received a lot of help from the high levellers when I started out, especially with certain achievements, like captain and turbo trucker.. and generally most things I needed.. Never be scared to ask for what you need, there's usually someone floating around who would be happy to help if they are able to :-)

Lol... I was wondering the same thing!! I mean you've already seen my "career change".. the least you could do is help my sugar/dairy boats!! o_O lolol

I think Bri needs a breather from me. I'm a handful! :D

Well add me then!! Yes, your career change should be permanent from what I saw. Legit.

I really advise against pushing my sugar/dairy boat crate button, it's the biggest, reddest button of them all.. lol. I'm absolutely disgusted that really high level players have the nerve to open those crates. I love watching them sail away half filled, lol. :-P

If Bri needed a break from you, I'd have heard about it by now, lol :-P

I can't see the difference really, lol.. The little farm is still less challenging if you're helping it with your big farm, lol. I loved the struggle at the beginning. Still, different courses for different horses :-)
Helping other people's lower level farms is different, and yes, it is enjoyable and emotionally rewarding, lol :D

It keeps me interested in the game which is why we do what we do. You said you like water on your farm - you're not the only one. Check this farm out :)

It is very rewarding having a second farm, I love being able to help my friends who are on lower levels. There are a lot of people out there with multiple farms for various reasons, each to his own. I don't consider it cheating though, if that's what makes them happy.. I personally have never seen this game as a race to the top levels, hence why I don't see having extra stock as cheating. It's all about having a good time, for me, that's helping others. For others it's racing to the top levels. The only thing I know with having two farms is its hard to keep up. When it becomes too much and I'm not having fun, I only play one. The person who I said before has 4 or 5 farms, gives away ( well sells at very cheap prices) all the extra stock, everything. That makes her happy. And in my opinion that's what it's about.

True indeed :-)

That is beautiful!! Love it.. maybe one day I'll clear everything off my farm and fill it with fountains, lol.. :D

Ouch! Been plenty of days where I've sent all boats away.. at least they did slightly lower the sugar quantities now though.. still not worth it though unless you have too much sugar - if that's even possible.. lol

Ha I opened my last dairy/sugar crate the day I met you. Pure fear! Aint afraid to admit that!! Pride still intact:thumbs:

Yeahhh.. Bri was telling me I should show ya some never before seen exclusives. Legit. ;)

Alright I've procrastinated enough today, gotta get moving. I'll request you next time we talk!!! Game on!!!! Ciao twisted sister

True, each person is different and enjoys different ways of playing the game :-) I just feel having multiple farms solely for the purpose of having extra produce to pass to my original farm would take the strategic element out of the game for me. I suppose supercell would allow us to purchase multiples of other machines besides feed mills and smelters if they wanted to make the game easy. Still, whatever works for the individual is the way to go :-)

I never rushed to level up as I knew the higher I got, the less there was to achieve, so I just levelled up as and when it naturally came. No new machines to unlock really stings, lol. Can't wait for this fishing update!

Sorry for double post, I didn't see your post Kev..

lmao.. open whichever crates make ya heart sing!! I guess it just frustrates me with the really high levellers.. it's not like they're willing to use their own stock or send the boat away. Cheeky, lol..

Well, I think you should take Bri's advice, lol :-P

My day is drawing to a close, and I'm pleased.. but I hope you have a good one!! :D

I agree with you absolutely. I play the game for me and me alone and I play it how I want to :) For me there is no point in racing to the top. I have all the machines so from now on in its fun and maintenance. I like helping my second farm :) it's a game that you play drinking coffee in the morning or watching TV in the evening...it's all about enjoyment x

The thing with all these games is that the first few levels are the important ones for gamer and developer alike. If the gamer enjoys the game they will continue and generally spend real money to advance in the game. Supercell pull in over 1 million dollars a day just with Clash of Clans and Hay Day. Once a player gets past a certain point they are self sufficient and cease to be interesting to the games developers. They have a network like this to help them or their farms and storage facilities are such that they do not need to purchase diamonds or whatever the internal currency is. Of course most people say they never buy them but actually we all should at the beginning because we need to support the developers. Game developers do not need to keep high level players interested in the game because they do not earn from them. New players are what count and higher level players need to remember that ...myself included :) Any new element added to any game is for the new player and not the long term player but hopefully both benefit :)

True.. The new players are definitely where the interest is at for the devs, same as any other business really, new customers always get better deals than the loyal long term folks who made them rich, lol. However, it wouldn't kill them to remember that those high levellers didn't start the game as high levellers, we were all new once and we did help them get rich. $1m per day isn't a bad salary for doing seemingly nothing at all, eh? lol. I think high level players know exactly what is important to supercell and are unlikely to forget it since there's literally nothing for us to do after a certain point in the game. Now, if I'd invested a large sum of money in progressing in this game I'd be rather annoyed, but I haven't, so I'm not. I enjoy the game either way, I'm happy enough being at maintenance stage with my farm. I'm not bored yet. As for any new element being added to the game being for new players, I don't necessarily see how because if someone downloaded the game today and just started playing, our newest "feature", Alfred the miserable mailman, is already there and is not a new feature to new players, he's already part of the game when they started playing. Their new feature will be the fishing boat. I think the new features are more exciting for and anticipated by those high level players who may be bored, but yes, all players will benefit and that's a good thing :-)

I also just wanted to add that the fishing boat feature as all the other stuff will probably only be at a certain level and I am sure requires tons of money so that is most likely for the higher level players.....finally!! Lets hope and pray! Lol
