I put some items up for sale just now with no Ad. Someone bought them right away. Two items had a name, but it was not a friend or a follower of mine. The third item did not have a name. I wonder if ads are going out even though we un-check it.

Yes I think ads are going out even though we un-check it. My friend that has no follower gets her items sold immediately these days, even though she didn't advertise at all.

But even if it put an ad out when we uncheck it they shouldnt be able to find it and get to your stall and buy in a matter of 3 seconds

Sometimes I put up wheel and it does get advertised. I see the little square bit of paper on the box.

Yes .. But I think maybe it costs coins.
I also notice if I put something really good in the stall . Like mallets, deeds, planks etc it must get advertised because it all gets bought up with basic stuff in the shop.

Sometimes I do it on purpose. It i have filled the shop with crops and to,clear down my barn and the shop just stays full I will put a couple of expansion items in a box and stuff clears out

I usually put an ad. for those stuffs that are not easy to sell (strawberry, toasted tomato, corn bread) because u have 3 hours for advertising. Therefore, people will check ur shop frequently since u still have an ad. on newspaper. We always know for sure that upgrade/expansion materials will be gone very fast. So when someone buy those good stuffs with ad. Your shop will be no longer appear on newspaper and no one will come to buy the rest, until u put an ad. again in 30 minutes
