Cause you can get quick leaderboard points that way. 18 for most part + the time bonus. So if boat got filled within 2 hrs, it'll be 18+14 more less and that's 32 points. Without the boat, you need to fill 14-30 (most crates are 1-2 points with occasional 3) crates to get the same points.

But sometimes those boats sit at the dock for 6 hours, sometimes longer. Wouldn't it be better to send them away and have the next one within four hours?
I did a sugar boat once or twice at the very beginning. I don't remember them giving special vouchers. Is it just the leaderboard thing? Feels strange to me, but maybe I am missing out on something.

I can't even fill my own sugar boats... Don't wanna burden friends with such a demanding boat... Anyways, to each his own... Syrup boats, i can sometimes fill on my own...
