Easy. Just go to settings, turn off wifi then turn it on again. Close out hay day then reopen it.

I had to keep shutting the app down completely (from the tray) and restarting it, soooo annoying. I even turned my iPad on and off a few times, lol :-/

Try to shut down your device for like 5 minutes, then turn it on again. Have you update the ios 6.12?
