Basically, we already do everything right according to the rules, except the personal arguments and insults. If we leave that out, we are fine.

I didn't know this, but our thread was shut down back in October. I don't want it to happen again, so please follow the forum rules. Basically, keep your personal qualms left to PM. Within the rules it says "3. Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. We take politeness very seriously. You are welcome to challenge others points of view and opinions, but please do so respectfully and thoughtfully."

If everyone can follow that little thing, we are good. I understand that sometimes a trade can go bad or because this is text words are taken out of context, but just PM the person for clarification. If it is a bad trade, if a PM doesn't work, simply remove them from your friends list. No need in confrontation over a fun iPad game.

I fully agree. I don't what has happened over the last 24 hours or so but I don't want this thread to be closed down, I think the only reason I am still playing this game is due to this thread and the great people I have spoken to on here. Lets play nicely so we can still play together and be the great community we were. I am aware of possibly one of my friends being banned (I hope the are allowed back in time) I don't know if anyone else has been, but I don't want to see anyone go

Agree, I have also seen people thinking they have been attacked when the person making the comment was saying it tongue in cheek. This has mainly happened when the communication is cross cultural. So please farmers be careful of making tongue in cheek 'insults' and conversely please be very slow to think you have been insulted. I was born in Asia to Australian parents and have been to over 55 countries in the world and know that all cultures think and communicate differently. So a LOT of tolerance will go a long way to keeping this a fun and happy forum.

I think maybe us policing up each other (with respect and kindness of course) will go far. Like yesterday when it all started with a "mind your own business"... WE shouldn't have let it continue for 2 pages. Maybe a gentle reminder every once in a while that that kind of stuff will get us shut down will help us out. So, police up your buddies with a simple, "hey man, can we take this to PM?"
