A tip that you may have already used or not (sorry I'm not sure) is that if you tap your animals to wake them up vs blowing whistle, you get more xp (I believe 20 more per animal).

Well I can check next time I feed animals. I wonder if you tap animals to wake them up, then feed and blow whistle to get them to come....you can get more xp and materials. We or I can try it and report back. Lol
