Lol, I've been trying to do plank theory. It somehow turned into tape theory, it's almost like I get nothing but tapes.

I am like you, I harvest tape normally. Exception is when I only need tapes to complete my barn and it's like if the game knows I need those and instead gives me bolts and planks, usually the one I have the most of. that's why I try to keep my plank number higher than the others and postpone my upgrade as much as I can so I can get more planks lol.
I use the paper the most, even if there is 1x plank and next to it 5x tapes I go for the plank
