You should try to see if it works but I think he would grab with or without ad...it's completely random. I've had stuff sit for days before he finally grabbed it

I don't think it makes any difference and oddly he doesn't seem to take everything from your stall every time either

I remember wondering about some items not being sold by Tom before and stopped selling them.
After joining the forum I noticed most of you sell everything for full price and I gave it a try. Would be a nice profit, since some people are selling bacon and eggs for 56$.
But I guess I'll go back to mostly ignoring bacon and eggs and/or selling it for around 140-150.

I buy 56 coins bacons and eggs and keep some for truck orders but most I flip for 150, which sells decently and a good item to use to keep ads last long. I was actually miffed when my 150x3 bacons and egg ad was bought in 2 seconds

I like that part as well.
And sometimes I wonder, whether some people want to annoy me.
There are 3 ways I try to keep ads run longer.

1. For stuff like wheat (cheap and sold in a lot of stalls) I advertise with one of the last stalls.
2. If I sell more than one stall of a higher priced item, let's say 4 and 5 sweaters I advertise the 5 sweaters, since the little amount might be more intersting to some.
3. If I sell more than one stall of the same item, I make some items a bit cheaper and advertise the most expensive one.

Sometimes I sell exactly one wheat, the one from the last spot Don't know if people do this on purpose? So I don't always use the very last spot and in the end it gives me always a good laugh. And sometimes people pay a lot more just to take away the advertised one (which they can't see, of course)!
