Funny, if I am not mistaken, you are correct for max price, but for def price it is different.
13 (cost) & 7(price) for max price
4 & 6 for def price

When you are assuming you can sell everything for max price, you are absolutely right.

I don't want to bore people with the details. But it cost 13 coins to make a bag that only sells for 7 coins (all max prices). I can sell my veggies for max prices and they always sell.

People have brought up valid points as to why they make vs buy so it's all good depending on your preference.

Default price for one bag of chicken feed is 2 (which feeds 3 chickens)
Default cost of 2 wheats and one corn is 4.

Still more profitable to sell corn and wheat rather than feed at default. But it's up to the individual as to their reasoning so either way, it works.
