I find it helps me to set a goal, and if the goal is financial, I make myself not spend unless it's a super deal, or if it's something I can get and resale here (like I'll buy materials even if I don't need them, because you guys do). My goal *was* the jam machine, then I got sucked into Tt, so now I'm doing that and buying all sorts of things, which of course means I'm broke
