Hello
Hello Hay Day Friends,
I've been here lurking and learning since about page 3-4 of this thread. I'm the caretaker of 4 farms at my house. My wife was the first one to start playing the game and she got us all hooked. She got the game very close to the beginning of it, as did my kids. I started out working on three of my kids' farms and couldn't start my own because of a glitch with the game always starting my wife's game on my iPad. She used my iPad to play while her phone was being repaired and then we couldn't break her farm from my iPad. No amount of uninstalls and GC changes would fix it. I sent messages back and forth to the support people and they tried to remove my GC from her farm and it wouldn't resolve. (I tried restoring my iPad from a backup and it still had the problem.) What finally resolved the problem was I wiped the iPad out and started over. Re-downloaded the game and yeehaw.... I got my farm started.
My Kids farms all benefited from the toolbox glitch, but my farm started just after the first update that fixed (or broke) that. It's been a battle to start over. It's not easy. You really have to work at it. It really does help to have friends and family that can help out with truck and boat orders. Having the added neighbors helps move your products out of your roadside stall too. This helps in a number of ways. First, it allows you to free up space in your small silo and barn. Second, it earns you money to be able to buy buildings and machines. Also, it allows you to pick up needed items to fill truck and boat orders for money and XP.
I just finished the Captain III on my farm. I feel bad for the early farmers on this because they've done tons of boat orders and probably lots in a row, but the achievement just came out and they didn't credit anything from early farming. I'm on level 28 and my boat orders didn't have these crazy jam boxes to fill. Trying to fill several boat orders of 8 jams is so un-realistic, unless you've hoarded them before starting the Captain achievement.
I've sent several friend requests to the F.A.R.M. group participants already. Let me know if you need anything and please stop by my roadside. I try to keep the bins full and issue the ad whenever it's available. I have a few farms with machines at my disposal should we need to mass produce something.
Keep up the great work and happy farming.
