Hay Day Discussion and Game Help Thread (NO FRIEND REQUESTS)

Hello

Hello Hay Day Friends,

I've been here lurking and learning since about page 3-4 of this thread. I'm the caretaker of 4 farms at my house. My wife was the first one to start playing the game and she got us all hooked. She got the game very close to the beginning of it, as did my kids. I started out working on three of my kids' farms and couldn't start my own because of a glitch with the game always starting my wife's game on my iPad. She used my iPad to play while her phone was being repaired and then we couldn't break her farm from my iPad. No amount of uninstalls and GC changes would fix it. I sent messages back and forth to the support people and they tried to remove my GC from her farm and it wouldn't resolve. (I tried restoring my iPad from a backup and it still had the problem.) What finally resolved the problem was I wiped the iPad out and started over. Re-downloaded the game and yeehaw.... I got my farm started.

My Kids farms all benefited from the toolbox glitch, but my farm started just after the first update that fixed (or broke) that. It's been a battle to start over. It's not easy. You really have to work at it. It really does help to have friends and family that can help out with truck and boat orders. Having the added neighbors helps move your products out of your roadside stall too. This helps in a number of ways. First, it allows you to free up space in your small silo and barn. Second, it earns you money to be able to buy buildings and machines. Also, it allows you to pick up needed items to fill truck and boat orders for money and XP.

I just finished the Captain III on my farm. I feel bad for the early farmers on this because they've done tons of boat orders and probably lots in a row, but the achievement just came out and they didn't credit anything from early farming. I'm on level 28 and my boat orders didn't have these crazy jam boxes to fill. Trying to fill several boat orders of 8 jams is so un-realistic, unless you've hoarded them before starting the Captain achievement.

I've sent several friend requests to the F.A.R.M. group participants already. Let me know if you need anything and please stop by my roadside. I try to keep the bins full and issue the ad whenever it's available. I have a few farms with machines at my disposal should we need to mass produce something.

Keep up the great work and happy farming.

My hayday will load for a second but then kicks me off, any suggestions?

Yeah make sure you have In App Purchases enabled on your iDevice. There is a bug with the IAP system for the latest update.

I had Tom this morning also after the update!!! He said I have him for 3 days. Sent him out first thing for blackberry jam brought me back a choice of 1,3,or 8(of course I bought the 8)!! He took himself a 2 hour nap. I sent him back out for cherry jam this time brought me back a choice of 1,5, or 6. I'm going to use him for all the jams first!!!! He hasn't charged me any diamonds either, how about you?

He will after the trial period. I'm making sure to catch him every two hours after he wakes up. I have 30 minutes before he wakes up again.

Hmmmm... I've ask Tom for cocoa twice now and I noticed the 2nd time, the prices were higher. I wonder if the prices keep increasing for each item, each time you use him.... Just an observation...

...not per my experience. He has retrieved cocoa for me 3 times now. The first 2 the max was 7 for 96. This last time was 9 for 121.

Boo... I kind of liked being able to see others' boats, made it easy to know what to put up for sale... Easy to spy on my sister to see if she was catching up... :D

Currently I'm 1000 barn and 925 silo. After the Captain III achievement is completed I'll sell off products to make room for materials. To increase my barn to 1025 I need 39 of each material. That'll be fun.

I'm at 975 barn and only need a few more of one thing and I'm to 1000. Then, my plan was to work on silo upgrades, which I've only done a few times. I'm always short one thing, though, and I see it in my sleep! Not sure if I have the patience for 39 of each...

I finally have Tom now! He's been pretty helpful so far. I wonder why we only get him for a few days tho...

You can get him longer but it's going to cost you.

Yeah that can be helpful having all those farms working together. Welcome!
