4. I noticed that when I'm going through my neighbors' farm, searching for mystery boxes, that I tend to find the boxes less often (even rarely!) in high-level farms, i.e level 25 up; than in farms with lower level than that... or is it just me?

I just went up to Level 21, where the Pie Oven becomes available; but I'm getting really discouraged seeing the $14,200 price tags. I only have around $4,000 more or less right now... And I am curious with opening the dock also... Dunno which should I prioritize & most importantly, how long I need to wait

It's just my first week of playing this, at first I'm really excited to find a kind of replacement for my old love Harvest Moon series, but now I feel that I need serious encouragement to continue chasing those expensive goals (

1. How long did it take for you to gather the $16,000 to repair the dock (in realtime, for example days/weeks of playing)? And how long did it take to repair the dock (in hours?)

2. How much is the maximum queue slot you can expand in a machine? I already expanded up to 5 slots in my Sugar Mill, but there's still the 6th slot with 15 diamonds needed to open it.. It sure takes LOTS of diamonds to expand the machines

3. How do you afford diamonds? Did you buy with real money using in-game purchase? Or using cheats (if there's any)?

1. Took me couple days. Really depends on how fast you make money and don't spend too much or it'll take longer. I tried to do a lot of delivery orders. Take a little over 31 hours to repair the docks. I have 8 more hrs to go! Can't wait. I'll let you know if it's worth it. Not sure if I'll do anything with the mines. Does anyone know how long it takes to open the mines and make the gold, etc.

2. I haven't expanded any of my machines yet. Don't wanna use my diamonds cuz they're hard to come by. Be careful not to hit the diamonds to speed up the production! I have accidentally!

3. I've bought diamonds once for $1.99 cuz I ran out in the beginning but not any more.

I can answer some of your questions...

1. It took me a few days...maybe around 3...to get enough to build the dock. But I had already been saving up and then started selling some of my building materials. I think the dock took 30 hours to build, but I could be wrong.

3. I don't believe in spending real money for coins and diamonds in a game, so I just wait until I get lucky and find some in the mystery boxes. I also got a few from completing the achievements. I wish there was a hack. The iap cracker in cydia doesn't work for this game.

I don't remember how long it took me to save for the dock, but probably about 2-3 days. That is about what I have been averaging. Sometimes things have only taken a day or two. I think the dock has been worth it, but you do need to plan ahead when using it and not be afraid to send a boat on if the shipment is not a good match for you. I have both the dock and the mine and so far I like the dock better. The mine is cool looking and it opens right away, but to really earn any money you need a few smelters to go along with it. The original smelter, was I think, $11,000 and the second was $22,000. You can get by with one smelter, but the times are really long. Silver is 8 hours for one bar, gold 12 hours and platinum is 16 hours, so it really takes a long time to get an order together. That is why I got a second smelter. I have paid for diamonds a couple time times (the lowest amount) but only when they were for specific tasks I wanted to do with them so I didn't accidentally spend them. I used them to expand my production lines and to jump start my first smelter. I figured I would pay a few dollars for the game, but I am being careful not to get sucked into keep buying them. It's not worth that. Lol!

I'm thinking of which should come first: upgrading my Silo & Barn, which requires money to buy materials or luck & patience to find them... or just go straightaway piling up money for opening the dock? Right now, I'm at 175 capacity for each Silo & Barn.

As for the production lines, I don't know. When I got to them asking for 15 diamonds, I stopped. . Honestly, on most production lines, I wouldn't want to go much deeper than that anyways.

As for the dock, it really depends on the type item. It's usually pretty fair but not easy. For this this last shipment, I need to fill 4 boxes of 3 blackberries (which I barely had!), 4 boxes of 3 syrups (this is the hardest one) and 4 boxes of 38 carrots. Other items that I have seen are blue wool hats, cakes, fruits, wheat, pancakes, juice. Wheat is by far the easiest to fill. I think I have sent 2 boats off without doing the order, because it just wasn't a good fit. I have also sent off several boats only partially filled. The last boat I did, asked for juice and I don't have a juice maker, yet. Sometimes even if they ask for one item that I do not have, I will still partially fill the order if the rest of the order is fairly easy. I usually send it away if it asks for 2 or more items that I don't have or if I don't have one of the items and the other will cause me to miss better orders on the board. You have around 15 hours to fill the boat. You also have about a 3 hour wait for the boat and if you click the dock while waiting, it will tell you what items you need to prepare for. It is a good idea, to start preparing before hand. Like for this order, knowing I would need a lot of sugar cane and carrots, I started upping the amount that I had. Also I made a few batches of brown sugar to have on hands to fulfill other orders and I got started on the syrup knowing it would take the longest. Before I got the dock, I did expand storage. I think it has helped me. Hope this helps.

Oh does anyone know how I can capture foxes? I've been waiting the whole day but still couldn't get another fox to be captured.

Once a boat has left, there is a waiting time till the next one arrives. However you can see what the orders of the next boat will be by tapping the dock. This gives you a couple more hours for producing the goods for the next boat.

Wow. Nine is a big number.
If I'm not mistaken, the standard machine comes with two queue slots, and it needs 6 diamonds to open the third slot. The fourth needs 9, fifth 12, ...

...somebody please remind me of those arithmetic (or geometry?) progression rules...

Okay, got it:
arithmetic progression of number of diamonds needed in machinery queueing slot is:
a(n) = 3(n-1)
with n = nth queue slot
and a(n) = number of diamonds

...but it starts with n = 3; I'm not sure how to write the correct equation...
(meaning: the first expansion, of third slot, needs 6 diamonds)

So the total number of diamonds needed to fully expand one machine up to the ninth slot will be... 105?!

Oh does anyone know how I can capture foxes? I've been waiting the whole day but still couldn't get another fox to be captured.

...why would you want to capture foxes? Will they randomly pick items for you?

Here's a thought. I HATE the idea of spamming FB to get one more harvest from my trees and I still don't want to be constantly cutting them down, so I'm moving my dead trees to one corner of my land to make a haunted forest. It could be pretty cool!

Plan ahead. As stated, if you're around before the boat arrives(preferably right when it leaves because time is up or you send it away)you can tap the dock and see what the next shipment request is. You cannot see the quantities but what fun would THAT be? lol

Start producing. Once the boat arrives check the shipment request and do some quick math to determine if you want to attempt to complete the order. For example, I woke up to a boat that docked while I slept. It had 12 hours before departure. 4 of the crates were for 2 bottles of Berry Juice each. I didn't have any on hand. 3 hours to produce each bottle. So unless I used diamonds or came across someone selling there was no way I was going to complete that shipment request.

I kept the boat anyway though.

While I'm waiting for sugar cane I thought I'd share a bit.

Yes the game has slowed down(to me anyway). As of this post I am a Level 37 Farmer. I've changed my focus a bit due to longer wait times and slightly more difficult orders on the order board. Orders with juices or jams tend to get pulled.

I'm more focused on completing the achievements. It's going to take me forever to get the red ribbon for Citizen Kane but I came across another user that has it so I'm inspired. I'm almost halfway there. The red for Patronage seems light years away as well. Without any more updates I have all of the machines(only 2 smelters though). Slow and steady...although the feed mills get a lot of work. I'm considering the third pig farm.

Hi all-

For the last hour or so, every time I try to put an item up for sale in my roadside stand, the app crashes. anyone else having this problem? If so, is it me or is it them? I can buy things just fine, but cannot put items up for sale without a disconnect/server problem. Any help is welcome.

YES!!! The game has been crashing when I try to sell anything in the roadside stand for about a week now. Initially, I was able to post items for sale every fifth or sixth time I tried. The last two days, it's crashed EVERY time I try. HELP!!
