I've been wondering about this. I don't play the game and only recently discovered, by reading posts, what wheating someone means.

Is it possible for someone to just cruise around looking for the symbol that would let them know that a worthwhile item is about to come up for grabs? Maybe you need to find an alternative method for communicating these trades?

As I said, I don't play the game so I don't understand what's going on here, but I bet a game player could see how to use the wheat thing to their advantage.

There's no symbol popping up if a worthwhile item comes available. It's by chance that the person was there when the transaction happened.

Mmmm maybe. But my farm name and Gc name are different? I don't know but this person is Always there! And I always have cheap hay in my shop so when I add some to wheat it's not like a big flashing neon sign saying 'here you go stalker'

Ahh! Yes, that's possible. But your GC will show on the stall as the buyer, right? I mean the chance of defriending is there.
