I'm just not a fan of the trading culture that's sprung up in here. Never used to be like that. Seems to be since the expansion items came out. I'm fairly well off coin wise and would sell to broke farmers for a coin. I feel that if I'm buying something I need it shouldn't come on the condition that I sell a specific item in return. After I've bought something I always ask if the seller needs anything and will help if I can.

GC kix1980 Level 44 I only trade for coins. I fill boats whenever I can.

I know what you mean. Some get demanding in here "I need..." Politeness out the window. We all need to remember that it's just a game and that if you're kind and generous and considerate to others it always comes back around.

See I'm kinda new here and have felt a lot happier asking for things I need when I have the expansion things to trade them for.. Rather than asking asking asking... Although I do help others with their requests and help with boats.


On that note... If anyone wants to sell me some barn materials id be happy to take them for a coin

Yes. We all love helping. I know I appreciate all the help I received when I was starting and the help I continue to receive. What gets frustrating is those who take take take and don't give back, or those who play irresponsibly buy spending all their coins, not getting their machines, and then coming asking for millions of products here. But for the most part everyone is fabulous and we are happy to help. /)

I agree. The culture on here sure seems to have changed. When I first started posting I found everyone to be polite, asking for help when even thought they had self produced what they good, still needed sme help. Everyone was willing to help each other out and not because of what the other person offered in return. I have found that every sin e we had the troll that got the thread shut down, things have been different and it has led me to not be on here much. I still. Go and help people fill their boats where I can, but its not the same.

I havn't been here long enough really to know what it use to be like, but it's quite easy to see who just comes on for what they need and you won't see them again until they need something and it's usually really big quantities they just can't be bothered to make, I just remember those people's names and think twice before helping.

I'm much more willing to fill 2/5 boxes if I can see they've filled the other 3 for example. If I see a boat with all boxes asking for help I usually won't fill if they're products that can be made in the timeframe.

I've definitely found the more you help, the more you get back in return and I always try to help out.

I agree 100% on the filling boxes thing. I wonder what's the point in playing if you're not actually going to PLAY? Like someone on another thread asked for multiple items for their farm, and they have none. Part of the fun is collecting and finding things. I am all for helping people get the last few they need, especially hard to track down things like planks, but when people just want them handed over and do zero work themselves? No, not with me.
