I'm in need of 7 bolts and 6 screws if anyone have them to sell/trade. I have 5 duct tapes, and 6 nails to trade.

Fair enough but what about materials for example? Each of us harvests certain materials with higher or lower probabilities... you can sell your spare all the time and make cash but it helps much more if you can trade them directly so both farmers gain an advantage. And it speeds up the process as well, so that you don't have to go hunting for what you need with the money you just received from selling your surplus.
Agree on expansion items, but they will hopefully soon go old-fashioned. I have never traded them for other goodies other than different expansion materials.

I get why people do the trading thing, it's just not for me. If I have materials for sale I will ask who wants them. I will get my own materials the old fashioned way tho. Might take me longer to get there but I'm ok with that. I'm more of a pay it forward sort of person.

I figured out how to solve the bacon & egg issue. They should have Greg's boat always open to dump them in. Then they wouldn't clutter up the paper.
