Invert time I add a friend I get an influx of requests, all likely from recommendations. If you check them out you'll find they are connected to your intentionally added friend.

Yeah it gives you an option to add people as a friend, if you share mutual friends. I've added a few people from here that way cos I recognised their gc names & pictures.
