As promised in another thread, I did watch the PBS rebroadcast of the Vienna New Year's Concert. Muti is a wonderful interpreter of Strauss, and IMHO the pauses and rubato in his Blue Danube could not be faulted--just delicious!

However...they did not play my favorite Strauss work this year, so I offer this clip from a previous Muti/VPO New Year's:
