I have an IPad 2 and can't find this app in the App store or I Tunes but my friend has an Android and downloaded it no problem.

Google Sky Map does not appear to be available for the iPhone.
There are, however, an excellent selection of astronomy apps in the App Store. StarWalk has been around almost since the iPad began, and has only gotten better.
P.S. http://www.google.com/sky/ seems to work in Safari, if not perfectly then more or less usably (with quirks)
