Google Earth Mosaic images mismatch

Hello, my son has an Ipad 2 and has Google Earth istalled. I think he has updated all the latest operating system and now has found that when the satalite images load, they all are tiled like and don't blend together like normal. He is very frustrated and thinks somethging is wrong with his Ipad. can anyone help on this issue.

We have had other reports of this on the forums today. Hopefully it's just a problem at Googles end and they will get it sorted out shortly.
