Oh Leelai, your orchids are so beautiful. Each picture I saw, I liked better until I came to the next one. I would imagine how wonderful it is for you to walk out and see such tropical beauty! Love to see that as our plants here are starting to die off and wither. Pretty soon. I will have to trim everything back. Sad, but Fall is here.
Thanks Leelai. It's so neat to know that as our gardens are going down for the winter yours are coming on. The orchids are beautiful. You must do a lot of smiling every time you walk out your door.
Well, it's getting cooler in the evenings and I'm thinking it time to put all my babies to bed for the winter. Shame though. I love all the flowers. Fuchsias, chrysanthemums, chocolate cosmos(yes, it smells of chocolate), lavender etc...
I'm listening to the wind and rain and hoping we don't get any gusts strong enough to take down trees. I think we're high enough not to get flooded if the creeks rise so the plants should be fine. Well just be losing leaves in one fell swoop. It's time anyway.
Well I have a new landscape in my garden. 2 trees on the side down several very large branches in the back and a tree and trunks from another on the other side. One tree took out a cornus Kousa that was very young but I managed to save a new Cercis forest pansy. lots of the wooden fence panels are gone. The season was over for most perrenials so no problem there. only minimal damage to shrubs.
Could have been worse, we are ok and the house is in one piece. I'll be happy when the electricity comes back. They are saying 7to10 days. I hope that's an exaggeration. Spring will be fun. Will be needing to do some planting. I'll have all winter to plan.
