Former Cynic, now iPad lover

My name is Max Jungreis. I'm 17 and live in Alaska. When Jobs first introduced the iPad, I thought it was a ripoff. but since I won one a few days in a competition, I've been completely blown away by how unlike any other product it is. I love my iPad, and now use it for everything. Not many people in Alaska have iPads, so I'm hoping I can get good advice and have interesting discussions here.

Haha, cool story. I fell in love with the iPhone when I gave one as a gift and wanted to play with that "silly Apple toy". Soon after the iPad was announced and it was love at first site.

J0yful: Even though it's formatted like an Iphone, the experience of actually using this device is unlike anything I've ever used. there is so much you can don with a large touch screen.

Welcome to the forum. I am a 70 year old newbie and I also was given my iPad as a present and as my new best friend I am obsessively in love with it.

 

[The Alternative]

What I find most interesting about the iPad is the number of people who professed to being Apple Haters (or totally uninterested), touched an iPad, and were instantly transformed by the experience. It is a true testament to the unique properties of this device. I've had my iPad since Father's Day and continue to use it every day.
