Find downloads

I am new to using aps and downloading things. I downloaded 3 free issues of the Boston globe last week. Then I was ( wrongly) fooling around with them and turned on the microphone, let it read to me for a bit and then closed it out

I can't find the issues and my newsstand just has a black globe e paper icon, my issues are GONE and I can't even get to the store to buy an issue and I still have 2 free issues left.

Wondering how to find these and get the, back, if I can, if not how do I get the GLOBE ap to function as it used to?

I have an iPad 2

Hi, Nancy! Welcome to iPF!

You seem to have deleted your downloaded issues. But they should still be there.
In Newsstand, tap the ePaper. Then tap "Store" in the upper left corner. Something like this should appear:




Tap the issue you'd like to read (or hear), then you see this:




Now you can download it again.

Hi Nancy - welcome to the forum!

If the app is not working, I would suggest a 'Force Close' first (see quote below) - if not effective, then you may need to delete & reinstall the app - let us know if our advice helps, and if not please post back - good luck!

Force Close - open the multi-tasking bar (double tap the 'home buttom' or use multi-gesturing and swipe up); press & hold an app until all begin to 'jiggle'; find the offending app(s) and press the 'red circle w/ minus sign' - return to the home screen & try again.

Thank you for your replies, apparently I deleted them,!!!!! Because when I tap/ as suggested by JA, the shelf only has the sample issue or today's issue. I can try the FORCE CLOSE as suggested by giradman . Will try this later. Thank you for your replies

Update

I had contacted the Boston Globe about this issue and they actually HELPED me I had to just change the date in the store/they told me how to get it to display, and redownload what I deleted
