I'm new! I just got an iPad 2 and am hoping to get recommendations on the coolest accessories. I am looking at stands, cases, gadgets. Things that I can plug in and extend functionality. Cool stuff.

I recommend using a third party case, as the apple one only protects the screen

the apple camera connection kit, if you have use for it

a stylus to help keep the screen clean

Definitely a Bluetooth keyboard - I have a folding one that's great for taking 'out and about' with the iPad. It's essential if you have a lot of typing to do and you're a touch typist.

ah yes, if your a touch typist, get a keyboard, if you don't, after a while of 2 finger prodding typing, you will forget how to touch type or at least type much slower and keep making mistakes... or at least that is the case for me

Be careful - USB, but not as your PC knows it. You can connect to a digital camera and download photos or videos only. No general file downloading - unless you jail break your iPad.

yep, 2 parts to it, a USB one and a sd/mmc card reader

I just got my Bluetooth keyboard - not an official Apple one but it's great and I don't know how I survived without it! I can quickly change to using it on my iPhone (reply to lengthy SMS) then back again. I also have the camera connection kit, which is essentially two connections, which I use for photos and videos. I want a leather case which works as a stand and allows me to set different positions, if that is possible.

As a long-time PC fanatic, I really love my iPad!

I've only bought one accessory so far for my iPad 2 - the Zaggmate keyboard/case. Love it. Other than that the only accessory I've used is headphones and those are basically the same regardless of what device I'm using them with.

What is jail breaking? My son in law said the USB form the CCK does work on some things, but not all, and that I shouldn't expect a "real" USB connection.
