Moths are falsely blamed for eating clothing. It's actually their larvae that cause the fabric damage.

October 22 and June 28 are International CAPS LOCK DAYS. They started as a parody, and became more and more popular with the use of the internet. They day in October was created in 2000, the one in June is said to have been created in 2009, in memory of Billy Mays, a pitchman who sounded like he was talking in caps.

Laurence Kim Peek had an exceptional memory. He was an American savant.

At the age of 18, he was hired to manage payrolls for 160 people. He needed a few hours, and no calculator, to perform this task. When he was fired, a computer and two full-time accountants were needed to replace him.

Pound is a Germanic adaptation of the Latin phrase libra pondo (a pound by weight).
Libra is a scale. There's also a constellation called Libra.
