Evernote has just announced on its blog the launch of the iPad version of Skitch, its incredibly popular image editing and annotating app. Skitch enables you to annotate and draw on pretty much anything that you can display on your iPad screen, such as a photo, a webpage, a screenshot, or even a blank piece of paper. You can then easily share the results with anyone you like, such as friends, family or work colleagues, and you can also save it to Evernote.
The app features a comprehensive selection of drawing and annotating tools, including a finger tool, pencil, arrows, text boxes, shapes, and cropping tools. Evernote says that it also plans an iPhone version of Skitch, but that it decided to launch it on iPad first because “it’s the ideal form factor for tactile annotation…. Just use it and you’ll be amazed by how much a few simple shapes and arrows can do.â€
Already hugely popular on the Mac, this is going to take the iPad by storm!
