my power cable when bad, drained batter to less than zero.

now my ipad air will not reboot. best i can get is an "apple symbol" and a faint glow.

tried to restore with I-tunes, at best i get a screen flash on the ipad, usually i get an "error 9" sometimes an error (27)

apple store can fix it for $299, another ipad

any better ideas?

What happens when you use a new cable, plugged into the charger and left for several hours? Will the iPad turn on then?

The error codes 9 and 27 are security related. Have you turned off or disabled your security software and anti virus programs before trying to restore?

In that case, you may want to take your phone in to the nearest Apple Store for a Genius Bar appointment to see if they can diagnose the problem.
