Email Notifications - NOT

Hi All,
I am a newbie with an iPad 1
I set my email notifications on after buying and setting up my iPad 1
These notifications became a pain.
I went to NOTIFICATIONS > EMAIL>and set NOTIFICATION CENTER to OFF
BUT the notifications of my emails are still coming ?
What am I missing ?

In that same section, try seeing if selecting "None" under the Alert Style helps. I think the two are separate, in that you can still get notifications if the alert is on, even if you don't have them show in the Notification Center.

I didn't get any e-mails while I was writing this, so I don't know if it works. But, worth a try, yeah? Good luck.
