Hi all,
A long time ago I somehow added my name to one of my email addresses and it comes up to people when I send an email. Tapping on the name, it reverts to the actual email address.
I've been into settings, emails, advanced and all that. Contacts too and can't figure out where it's coming from To stop it.
Any info appreciated......Ken

The name on an email address is usually the name that the recipient has in their contacts, not something you send to them.

For instance, when you receive and email from someone, it will display their name if you have them (with that email) if you have it in your contacts. Sometimes you'll see a nickname, if you'e assigned one. If you have no contact for an email you recieve, you'll likely see the email address.

There are exceptions. Apple mail seems to be able to match emails to names through other information, like emails you've sent. Not sure how that works.
