Duplicate photo?

How do I make a duplicate of a photo so I can crop nor and leave the other full size?

If you are using an app that imports its photos from the iPad's native Photos app, then the original in Photos will be left untouched. Each app in the iPad keeps its own local copy of files that it's working on.
