Dull Icons

Downloaded iOS 7 on my iPad 3 and some of the icons are a bright color and others are very dull, almost matte in color.
Any ideas why?

The odds are that the dull icons are just ones that have not been updated for iOS 7 yet. So, for a while, the icons are going to appear in different styles as designers and developers play catch up to iOS 7.

I changed the wallpaper in settings, one of the graduated ones. It made a big difference to the clarity of the icons
