I just thought I would point out that you don't have to feed your gemstone dragons to receive the gems. As these dragons can't breed I have never fed any of them and all of mine are still babies. I still receive all of the free gems and I am not planning on feeding them to adulthood until I have my other dragons at level 20.

The higher the level of the gemstone dragon, the more gems it produce

Wow. All my gemstones dragons are level 10 and they produce 1 gem each per week. That's a guaranteed 12 gems per week.

If your gemstone dragons are still babies (somewhere between levels 1 to 3 only) then you are only earning 2 gems per month per dragon. You may want to think twice as the benefits are worth the investment of treats to level them up! Just a thought. Edit: just swung by your place and all your gemstones are only level 1 - wow...it only takes 10,240 treats to get a dragon from level 1 to level 10.

Mine are at level 10, earning most gems possible, well worth the few treats it took. Boy, am I glad or you that you posted that!

I am not much for regretting things. I always do as good as I can, and I am sure you also do Jonew.
If I should have done something in another way, I should have invested in a Gemtree long before I did !

The only thing to do is keep trying. Focus on Emerald first as it leaves in a week. There's still plenty of time for Jade.

Raising the visitors before breeding had been known to help. A good way to do that without spending a lot of dc is to tear down paths and rebuild them. Another tactic that seems to help some is to level up a new breeding pair from lvl 1 to level 10.

My second jade dragon is now incubating, and when it hatches it will go into my hibernation cave until the gemstone island is updated. I decided I couldn't trade it for any other gemstone on the island because it does not earn as much, and gems are important.

Congrats Snalfa on your second jade - nice work.
