DV-life is special. When I this morning saw the combos for the Celtic friend, I thought I will get it before I go to work.
Everything was prepared. Emptied the cave on the Island before going to sleep. Bought gems. Now it's going to happen I thought.

Got a bit nervous and started up with a combo I found; beautyful Bloom and Storm. Got 48 hours. Wow I thought - thats it. ... But t was not.
(Was so speeded I had not red the facts about time)

Oh dear - what should I do. Went to the playground and found out. I had only ONE Storm.
Voine Voine - as the expressions goes here in the North.

Well, well - I just breed one.
Bought me out on a Solstice ...that was in the Cave.
Put in Lightning and Cold.
What did I get?
A new 48 hours ...

Put in Love and Storm in the Breedingcaveisland. (Both Lvl 15)
And wow. .....

I'm right there with you. Just got a 39-hour Sun fail on my breeding island. I really REALLY want the Celtic dragon!

I killed 100+ gems and finally got 1 in like 10 tries, in my alt account I got it on first try <.<

Have two alternativ DV-words I manage.
In one I got a 48-hours again... Funny!

In the other I think I got one, after several tries ...

yes, 3rd tries with evergreen(15)+storm(15) give me Celtic in EBC; less fails (no rainbow fail). -----

Hi everyone, I'm back after the most beautiful week in Bali. It went way too fast..... Spents lots of time with grand kiddies in the pool, got a nice tan. Lots of time with my 17 yr grandson talking everything electronic and learning lots. Relaxed with my three kids and was pleasantly surprised at the airport when my youngest brother showed up and joined us for the trip which was a wonderful birthday surprise. How my kids kept that under raps for 12 weeks is beyond me, although they did slip up a few times but I didn't notice..ha ha

Having no luck getting mt display Aqua......but I have just got two Celtic back to back. Sooooo!!!! happy with that as my blood is pure Irish and have a great affinity for the Emerald Isle where we spent our holidays with relatives.

I love the Dragon and the Egg is the best yet! Good luck everyone.

And the result was. ............. A new 48 hours - my special!

Looked at Sandbox - it could be .... A lot of different very nice friends ....
AND it could be a friend I really miss. ... The multicoloured ..

You and me both! I got Celtic on the first try so I was like wow that's my luck and tried for my second but nothing yet I got obsessed they I started to use my gems n then when I looked I spent more then 100!!!!! Sad that still no second on aqua nor Celtic! :'(

Check out all my fails( those display eggs around the breeding cave and fountain of youth n nursery are all fails) for both aqua n Celtic :'(

Wow I was worrying I wouldn't be able to get a Celtic dragon since I'm working overtime all weekend.. But the wizards were nice to me! I got my first Celtic on my first try yesterday and another one today! I sped up the breeding so I could try for a gold Olympus and bam! 28 hours!! Hopefully it's gold! Now all i would need is cyclops and platinum! Hopefully I can get them soon! Backflip just keeps making this game so interesting!

I hope all of you who haven't been able to breed a Celtic can get one soon! Good luck don't give up! Oh and I used evergreen and storm for both celtics since that was a suggestion I read here! Thx to all who suggested it.

Nice one, and congratulations to all those on their successful breeds. I'm trying for number two, but to my dismay I just snagged a 48 hour dragon - such a long wait! Not sure how many days to breed the celtic, but hanging on in the hope for a second one so that I can then breed them and get my egg for display .... Really happy for all those who are excited to have secured their breeding.
EDIT. O wizard, what you you done to me. Now I have 2x 48 hour dragons breeding - and, I don't need a sun, moon or rainbow! Hugh sigh. Guess I will check back in on my game less frequently until they finish breeding! Happy breeding to all.

My caves are tied up for the weekend too but I have managed to get a Celtic, and another Sun. I'm also pleased to report my first Olympus dragon - bronze.

I always choose the dragon with the same orb on top of it (quake for earth for ex.) as the event. Quake I always use for earth, but I still got more gold than silver from that.

Orb above might be the same as the first dragon maybe?

I'm pretty sure the orb is the element that the dragon has first :3 so if its a water/earth hybrid it would have the water orb on the head.

Maybe we could list down our gold medalist in colosseum event to see which dragon has the most gold in particular event so that it may help others.

These are the dragons that usually gave me gold trophies:

Air = Butterfly
Cold = Reindeer, Gift
Earth = Bone
Fire = Rose, Paper
Lightning = Love, Thunder
Metal = Malachite, Ironwood
Plant = Clover, Evergreen
Water = Century, Rain

I've been using my lvl 20 Panlong King for as many elemental events as possible.

Thanks for all the info! I think that's a great idea - sharing our gold-earners info!
