What is the one thing you wish you knew when your started playing DV? Here's mine.. When I first started to island hop on my friends islands, I came across the party hats, not knowing what they were, I never tapped them for a long time, until I saw someone on here talking about them and realized they were free instant money, who doesn't love free no strings attached money...All that free Dragon money lost....

Mine would be the gem thing. I knew there was a free gift option but for some reason I never used it till a month after I started playing.

DragonGranny just checked out your islands they're great i liked the shrine island and coliseum island but my favorite was the golden sun island soo bright and beautiful.

I remember when I first started playing dragonvale I had only two friends - my son, and a girl friend of his. They played hit and miss, and I only had two people to send gems to. I would often hit the 'select a random player' option on the game just so that I could get of glimpse of other people's habitats.

I recall googling dragonvale as I was looking for some tips on breeding. As a result of that I came across this forum and I met wonderful people like fletch, poppy, vampi, gt 500girl, brooklyn and many, many, others. I thought 'this is awesome.'

So, the greatest thing about dragonvale for me has been the ability to be able to connect with really good people, and the added bonus of being able to see their habitats change, and evolve, as well as being able to have a real sense of joy when they have been able to bread their rare dragons, and for passing on their expert advice for me to be able to follow.

I too collect the party hats for income in order to feed those hungry dragons, but it's more about the constant amazement of people's creativity and love for the game and each other. O, and by the way, my two friends has grown to 108 at the last count - yay!

If you have a Leap Year dragon, you can breed it with the Rainbow dragon to make another rainbow.

If you have a Leap Year dragon, you can breed it with the Rainbow dragon to make another rainbow.

I tried it and got a 48 hour. Thank you so much. Didn't think about that combo......

Congratulations. It is a great achievement.

I've been stuck on level 30 for ages. Fingers crossed, there will be another update soon. I'd like to move onto level 31 as well as get more habitats for those dragons who are keeping each other company in the hibernation cave.

Mine was that I spent the free gems from the beginning with speeding up thinks that took 10 min or even less. Then there wasn't the colluseum gems, and no friends in the beginning. Otherwise I love the game and that it's easy to change layouts!
