The best tip for being successful at DV is to join in here and enjoy the friendly chat, cheer and support. Without it collecting coins and failing at breeding certain dragons can become pretty dull.

Anyone with a question will get an answer here, after all helping each other is goal #1 for all of us. If anyone needs some quick, bare to the bones, information....DragonVale wiki may be something to check out.

How you feeling today? Hope all is getting better on the homefront! I meant to tell you Happy Birthday Sunday! I even had it wrote down. So Happy Belated Birthday!

Forgive my blonde moment..... Im confused by the Party hats: am I stealing money from other people or helping them out by refreshing their trunk...?

I did not know either when I joined. Yes they are for you as a token for visiting friends islands. I try to do this daily as I could earn over 15000 per visit and it increases as you level up.

Mud and blazing gave me a rainbow x

I believe I got my second with this combo too. I won't know until 8 pm tonight. It's incubating a looooong wait.

Haha, I just remembered the first time, way back in September, when I first clicked on a party hat and it disappeared. I was so afraid I had stolen something from somebody that I wouldn't touch them for like a week when I finally found out it is ok.

Somebody else probably answered already but in any case, the hats are there for you to collect. They are a way to entice you to visit your friends' parks and make some money. Your friends don't even know they are there (i mean they dont actually see the hats on their islands) or that you collected them. Go for it, collect away

Grumble, grumble. Put my lucky Panlong pair of Blazing and Mud in the cave for some overnight breeding hoping to get lucky but at least get a million dollar baby. But nooooo. Stoopid 5K, 10 hour, evil, evil Lava. Grumble, grumble.

I agree. Or maybe we just need a new thread? I'm not sure what to think. If everyone has noticed I for one have not been posting a lot. Only to congradulate or answer a question but I'm not on here as much over fear of complaints for chatting since I know it could get the thread closed etc. from reading the forum rules. I'm even worried about posting congrats. The friendliness is what drew me to this family but in the last week it has lost the luster to me from all the complaints on the one day alone.

Yes, recently there has been comments and rightfully, but it's not like someone asked a question and no one responded. They seem to be a fly on the wall waiting and hoping for their answer to appear. This is an interaction thread which means those individual needs to take responsibility and post their questions. Just because of their frustration, their first post is blunt and changes this community. Maybe we should add "Rudeness is Not Welcome" to the title.

GT you are one of the warmth of this thread and your comments are most welcome.

I really don't have any time to read the last 20 pages (work and sleep and family keeps interfere with my DV-forum) but did I notice some grumble? The forum is very nice, it feels "home and welcoming" so what's the fuzz about? If all we that has hanged out here since sept and forward only talked about the dragons and successful breedings, it would be a dead forum! When it's "slow" ( no updates for a while) it's nice to talk about something else. When something happens, the chit chat about other stuff disappears and all get focused on DV again! And, everybody gets help when they ask! So, what's the problem?

Spot on. Wiki DV is technical and pure information with little social interaction. This, on the other hand, is a community. Communities get things done, but they also interact socially. I'd hate to lose that spirit here - chat away. If they shut this down I'd put another one up on one of my servers in a day.

Hi GT. Don't leave us!!! You are one of the friendliest, if not 'the one', and you always made everybody feel welcomed on this thread.

I did noticed you spoke lesser but now we know your reason behind it.

Given a choice I would hope that we can continue this thread instead of starting another thread but whatever works, I'm happy to go along with this family. If we were to start a social thread, will we also get locked off by the mods?

Our friend 250strong made a new thread so you don't have to keep looking which I believe will be kept up to date on combo's. It is edited at the top so no scrolling through pages. It would be a good idea to bookmark it. Hope this helps you. :thumbs:

Aww, thank you, Shellee Is it strange that i'm' now at a point that I think it's DV that's keeping me sane while everybody else in the family is at their breaking point with my MIL? Maybe there's something therapeutic to collecting coins and party hats and putting dragons in a breeding cave :thumbs:

In my visiting friend islands, I just have to comment on two. IlUlI and MJ. Your islands are amazingly beautiful. It's clearly you had spent a lot of time and thought in your design. Poppy they would make you proud incorporating your coin factory. I know IlUli you wanted another sun, but you also needed that last moon to finish your design. I believe unanswer wishes are best gift from god.
