How many hrs does it take for frostfire to hatch?

Yeah I was debating going back to trying for rares or a Sandstorm/Bluefire for the new goals but then stuck with the quest for a Frostfire thankfully. Not sure how long I'll try for a second though. My patience is not what it was right now and I find myself switching and changing my mind about what to do/try next. We'll see.

Yes, congrats! Yikes, I forgot about the goal for sandstorm. Don't feel bad. I'm doing the same thing. Just stuck cold/bone in to try for frostfire. 10hrs for the first one. Lava? Really? Well either that or a bone and I don't see how it could be a bone. Oh well.

I got 2 Frostfires using cold and firefly. I am so happy. Still need a Moon and Sanstone. I sold my Bluefire by accident so I have to work on that again.

Can anyone suggest a good way to do the gold shrines? Some people are breeding fogs so they can do water and air but I am wondering if sandstorm might be better to do. Then there are the other elements and I just don't know what to do lol.

Sandstorm is a really good way to do air/earth at the same time. You have to have 2 sandstorms to do this which a lot of us don't. I'm using fog because that is what I was in the middle of using to get the silver shrine when the update came so I stuck with it and kept all the 10's I had to level them to 15. :thumbs: You need so much coins to get food. Ugh! I really don't know why BFS put a update out like this. I doubt most people will finish them and hoping we don't lose too many players because of it. Good luck if you start on them! Just be prepared for it to move nice and slow unless you have unlimited cash/food.

You have to start over breeding the 50 level 10 dragons needed to qualify for silver shrines. The same thing happened with the upgrade that offered gold shrines for 50 level 15 dragons. The level 15 dragons you already had didn't count and you had to start over.

I think it's a bad call by Backflip Studios, the developer of the game. They're understandably trying to get players to spend money to accelerate the process, but this demotivating According to my calculations, it would take five years to get to gold shrines and level 20 dragons if you didn't spend any cash. Too bad - its a great game.

I'm afraid that they are going to lose a lot of players, mostly their avid base. My grandson (who introduced me to the game - I'm Poppy) and my son, both level 25's, have lost interest. I'm still playing, but it does seem futile to work on Gold shrines. Probably going to try for level 30 and call it good and wait for new dragons.

Try a hybrid with one of them. Plant/moss or earth/poison. Sometimes using one hybrid with one of the elements will do he trick. :thumbs: Hope you get it soon!

What a good combo for a sandstorm? I am breeding air and the grey hammer looking dragon (lightening/earth) and the incubation is 6hrs. I am assuming it's another hammer. Lol

Any suggestions?

I made some comments earlier about Gold shrine qualifications being set too high. Just wanted to add that I think it's a real shame that we may lose players because this is the nicest online community I've ever been involved with. You guys are so kind, encouraging and helpful. I'm so old I'm an Internet pioneer, been involed in countless online communities (created several of them), and this one is really extraordinary.

I couldn't agree more! It is ridiculous. Love your islands by the way! Quickly visited them last night. I will still slowly work on the water/air golds since I'm so far into it but right now I also want to get the new dragons. Don't honestly know if I will ever work on any of the others though.
