Yeah, I looked at the original post and went "hmmm, that probably won't bring up the results she meant it to", ahaha.
It's waaaaay too easy to get silly auto correct mistakes for me because I find the 'keypad' just that bit too small on my phone and SO many words then need to get corrected that I start relying on it too much and BOOM that's when these things happen, LOL

I wonder if that's even something they will bother to fix? (I have never even received a reply when I told them about the yellow trees still being yellow despite snow)
Then again, I doubted they'd give us more gifting gems and was proved wrong (though of course they've charged gems for the privilege, which some people may end up actually purchasing)

I hope they put the zoom/view back to the complete full island view, at least, with the next update.
I think it's probably a glitch the way the visitors appear and disappear but am not too worried about that, heh.

I don't know...maybe, maybe not. I sure hope they do though. The view/zoom is really irritating. It will be a nightmare trying to move things from island to island.

Very glad they showed up that little bit early. I am pretty happy with a full 24 hours until mine come in but only after I waited an extra day (less than 12 hours actually) to send my last lot (wanted to kick myself for losing track of time last night).

Do you still send the 6 gems the same way or do you have to actually go through the gem tree? Do the gems disappear from the tree one by one when you've sent them?

My quiet/breeding island is probably going through the biggest change really (though it's not so big at all compared to the last re-shuffle, heh) but every island has been changed in some way. Am probably most pleased so far with the Rainbow/Fire/Earth island changes - not so major but I think it looks much better balanced and less cluttered now (it was probably most least fave before).

Gah this new update is so much slower to load and it reloads EVERY time I open the game (whereas before I could often, for example, leave the game to answer a text message but go straight back in afterwards).

Yes, the gems are the same as always. They just dissapear from the tree after you send them.

I think they are looking really good!

Yay! Congrats! That was quick! Lol. After I get the air/water shrines done (first 50 only) I'll probably breed more rares to recap some cash.

Yes... 50 million for the next island! It's highway robbery, heh?!

Yes, I was pretty surprised to get it now - I was assuming my rare luck would drop back to normal (= BAD) with the new update, haha. I'm just going to keep trying for at least a second Moon and Rainbow for now and keep using the randoms for my shrines or sell them for the coin. I can't bring myself to make the shrines my priority when they aren't really going to help me at all because I don't really plan to level mine up any further for now. I'll probably try for a second Bluefire and a second Sandstorm to meet the goals sometime soon too (when/if I get sick of trying for the rares, hehe).

haha, the only person I know who actually HAS the 50mill island is Brooklyn! And I'd say he is almost certainly the 1% of DragonVale.

Haha I was just coming to post that I seen your shiny new gem tree lol. My gems ended up showing earlier than I expected. I'm glad about that one because I hate staying up late just to send out gems but you know me....up til 2am just to send them. Blah. It was really cool seeing 6 gems on there though. :thumbs:

Lol mine will take some time for sure to move stuff. Still clearing it off then to start on the next island tomorrow. Yep, I know the feeling. I can see where your going though. The other islands are looking good. I'm not sure if I'm ready for restructure yet lol. I just keep looking at that new island and doing nothing! Ha

Yep, I looked at the new island and sighed when I thought about it. But I made a start and have finished....kinda, I thinki need to renovate. But it's done and I don't have a blank slate anymore so that helps too. Just start, anywhere with anything...it's much easier than strain at a rock!

Are there any other advantages of the gem tree? Can you harvest gems for yourself?

No, the gem tree is only so you can give 6 gems (rather than 3) to your friends per day.
It's most helpful to people who are really conscientious about returning all gems, like the lovely GT500Girl, who's list of return gems was crazy long and out of control, hehe.

I also return gems faithfully but probably could have continued to do just fine without the gem tree (my friends list is not as big and I have a few friends who don't send gems often or at all) except it's so pretty that I wanted it anyway!

Aha, okay thanks. I know I'll see tomorrow but I was really curious. I was kinda hoping the gems would stick around cos they look so pretty but the tree is still nice by itself (though really, if you gift them the normal way I dont see why they need to disappear).

Awwww, sorry to hear that. I guess with the new habitats and island available you might still be able to keep it and at least earn some more cash until your Moon arrives?!!! (which I am sure it will, eventually I'll be hoping for you :thumbs

You have to have completed the first goal (bred and levelled up 50 level 10 dragons of that element - the shrines will change from bronze to silver) of the shrines and then you can feed any dragons of that element up to level 15.

Guess they didn't get Brooklyn's twitter request in time for this update. I was hoping it was fixed now. Dang it! Hope you get it figured out and I really hope they fix it for the next update.

I can see that happening a lot more often as more players get that tree and can give 6 gems. Bummer it wasn't fixed

Thanks for the info! I only have one friend, so this upgrade does not really help me. I can see how nice it would be for those who have lots of friends to exchange friends to exchange gems with.
