Does the ipod work with any usb wall charger?

I have an ipod touch (1G) that i am planning to take on an extended trip. I cannot bring my computer, so i need to charge my ipod. I have a usb wall charger that once belonged to a bluetooth headset that i use sometimes to charge my ipod video (5G?).

You should be ok, if the wall charger puts out at least 500 milli amps (0.5amps) of current. A wall charger for blue tooth probably doesn't, my LG BT charger only puts out 200 milli amps (0.2amps). Less than half of the current needed for the iPod Touch.
