Deleting files from Ipad retina

I have just got an iPad retina and inadvertently downloaded a 9mb file I now want rid of but don't know how to delete it! I do not have my iPad linked to a computer. Is it possible to delete the file without going into the cloud?

It will help if you tell us what type of file it is. Maybe under was program was used.
