Deleting and hiding newsfeed posts on 6.0.1 Ver

I can delete my own posts on the timeline by swiping right to left and tapping the black "X" in the upper right corner and selecting from the drop down window. Works great.

However this does not seem to apply to the newsfeed posts. Is there a way to hide/delete these?
