Delete full mailbox

Is there any way to delete all the items in a mailbox rather than checking individual mail items and then deleting?

I wondered about doing that as well but it seems that there is no way. I have searched all of the forums and the topic has been very popular. Seems the answer always comes up as a no.

I have an IPad 2 and was sent a large file that has plugged up my mailbox. Now I am unable to delete any mail items to clean it out. Won't allow it.
Any suggestions?

If you are jailbroken there is a tweak in Cydia called "DeleteMail"
