Creating New Calendars

Is it possible to create new calendars on the iPad? I sync with my MacBook, and in my Calendar I have multiple sub-calendars (personal, work, athletics, community). When I sync, those calendars are then placed on my iPad.

SO, if I wasn't syncing with my desktop, could I create different (and different colored) calendars?

No. The Calendar app can't create new calendars. They have to be done on the computer or a web site (if available). As you've noticed it's really easy to do with iCal on a Mac.

One of the things I'm hoping for with the new iPad announcement is updated core apps.
