Why does this forum need to have cookies 'allowed'? Advertising?

Anyway, to my real question:-
How can cookies still get saved on my iPad when I have BLOCK ALL COOKIES set in my settings?

Allowing cookies or not is a feature of the browser you're using, not the forum or website you're visiting. If you block all cookies you may find that access to some websites is blocked or the behaviour of the site changes. Here’s what Apple has to say about cookies in Safari. Manage cookies and website data in Safari on Mac

On my old iPad I could block all cookies when using Safari.

On my new iPad the BLOCK ALL COOKIES setting does not seem to work.

Always. My 'procedures' worked OK on my old iPad but not on the new one.

I was wondering if there was an extra option that I've missed that still allows Cookies to save themselves on my iPad? I need to do some specific tests and make notes.
