On older system you push power button twice to open all the apps you've opened. Then you can close them one by one to perhaps save battery. That doesn't work in os7. Why not?

Because in 7, you swipe up on the window panes that display when you either push the home button or swipe up with 4 fingers.

And why isn't Android Google fighting this from Apple? Since it's been implemented on IOS 7, Android had the swipe closing feature for years.

Hi Suitcase - as already explained, not the 'power' but the 'home' button that is pushed twice. Plus, you're not going to really save much battery power (if any) by closing a bunch of these 'suspended' apps - for me, the main reason to 'Force Close' an app is if it is not working correctly - the first step to try w/ a malfunctioning program - Dave :)
