Cheap solution to an iPad stand

After having an iPad for a while, I found that sometimes I just wanna to be hands free such as when watching a movie on my iPad. So I googled 'ipad stand' and found out that these small accessories could cost you quite a bit!!!

So this is what I have come up with...

firstly, get a decent book stand, bend the foot bit over. And finally let the book stand wear a sock if you want protect the back of you ipad from scratching.

Well, is it simple enough?

the sock part do give more friction and make the stand more stable.
