I want to be able to charge the iPad in the cockpit of my plane, but the electrical system is 24 volts.
I got a converter to downgrade the voltage to 12.5 but before I test it I need some advice.

Will that work (12.5 volts), or will I blow up the iPad?

Cars today actually use 13.8 VDC so I think you should be OK with 12.5 volts. Just make sure it can handle the current draw.

And welcome to the forum! I am coming up on the 31st anniversary of that fateful day back in 1979 when my instructor had me pull up to the hangar in that Piper "Traumahawk", opened the cabin door, climbed and said, "OK, now its your turn!"

Thanks for your comment- the draw appears OK, and I asked my A & P about it today and he said based on the specs, it's fine.

Remember, blue side up.Flying is too much fun.
