Can't get to delete a book from ibook

I downloaded a free book from iBooks. It got stuck and I can't seem to delete it. I've restarted the ipad and tried to use the traditional edit, select delete to no avail. Any ideas please?

I've also tried that and it did work but I guess you have to update your IOS in order to do that or the software maybe. I have tried such situation in one apps I downloaded and I can get rid of it no matter how I deleted it. It looks like a little update will do.
