Can't delete photos or iTunes songs ...

Hi all! I just got a new iPad mini (Retina) and am totally awed by it ... I synched some photos (actually, too many) from my computer plus a bunch of iTunes songs.

Now I want to delete some photos and songs ... the iPad manual says highlight the photo/song and then tap on the garbage can ... well, there's no garbage can in sight when I select my photo or song - it ain't there, alas ...

What gives?? Please help!

Hi, Hans! Welcome to iPF!

As you synced the photos to the iPad using iTunes, you can't delete them on the iPad. You'll have to connect your iPad to iTunes once more and deselect the photos you want to remove from your iDevice.
